Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use ProfileFix, we collect the LinkedIn profile text you submit (either pasted or extracted from a PDF you upload). We do not require an account, login, or email address to use the service.

We assign your browser a random session identifier (stored as a cookie) so we can show you your report if you return later. This identifier contains no personal information.

If you make a purchase, payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment was completed along with the amount. We never see or store your card details — Stripe handles all of that.

How we use your data

• To generate your LinkedIn profile analysis and rewrite suggestions.
• To store your report so you can access it again via the same browser.
• To confirm your payment and unlock your full report.
• To improve our analysis quality over time (in aggregate, never individually identified).

Data retention

Profile text and reports are automatically deleted from our servers after 30 days. We do not keep your data indefinitely.

Third-party services

• Stripe— processes payments. Stripe's privacy policy applies to any data you enter on their checkout page.
• OpenAI— we send your profile text to OpenAI's API to generate the analysis. OpenAI processes this data according to their API data usage policies (they do not use API inputs to train models by default).
• Vercel — hosts the application. Basic request logs (IP addresses, timestamps) are retained by Vercel for operational purposes.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Union, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Because we do not collect email addresses or account information, the easiest way to exercise these rights is to email us and we will delete any data associated with your session.

Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie (profilefix_customer_id) to remember your session so you can retrieve your report. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

We use PostHog for anonymous product analytics (page views, feature usage). PostHog is configured to anonymise IP addresses and does not create individual user profiles.
